The extraordinary presence of more than sixty participants demonstrated the great interests for the activities carried out in the framework of Greenresilient project in Italy.
Farmers, technicians, students and professors of the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the “Federico II” University of Naples, representatives of policy makers at national level (head of the Organic Farming office of the Ministry of Agriculture) and regional level (Organic Farming office of Regione Campania), members of organic and biodynamic association at national and international level actively participated to the discussion following the presentation of the results.
Questions and comments ranged from technical and scientific issues, regarding criteria for soil fertility management in organic and biodynamic systems of production and functional biodiversity assessment in protected condition, to the vision of future challenges for organic production at national level in the framework of the Farm to fork and Biodiversity strategies recently published by the EU Commission.
In a very informal context at the Italian experimental site, everybody was invited to ask his/her questions and share experiences, there has been room for discussion, for demand of research, suggestions and future perspectives of organic farming in Italy.
